terms of service.
effective august 9, 2026
These terms govern use of the Archii iOS app, websites, and connected services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. the service
Archii provides personal-archive, reflection, AI, measurement, relationship, experimental, and device-assisted tools. Features may change as the product develops. Beta or experimental features may be incomplete, unavailable, or removed.
2. not medical care
Archii is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapist, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI responses and inferred traits can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on Archii for emergencies or decisions requiring a qualified professional.
3. eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. Keep your account secure, provide accurate information, and tell us promptly about unauthorized use. You may not impersonate another person or create an archive about someone without lawful authority and appropriate consent.
4. your records and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Archii a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transform, retrieve, and process it only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service and as otherwise described in the privacy policy.
You are responsible for having the right to upload or share a record. A feature that involves another person does not remove that person’s privacy, consent, or intellectual-property rights.
5. AI and experimental outputs
Generated answers, memories, measurements, predictions, simulations, and relationship models are probabilistic outputs, not ground truth. Product labels such as “twin,” “portrait,” or “dimension” do not establish consciousness, identity continuity, diagnosis, scientific validation, or fidelity to a person beyond the evidence shown.
Research participation is governed separately. Passing software tests or using an experimental feature is not consent to a study and is not scientific validation.
6. acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, probe or bypass access controls, upload malware, violate another person’s rights, use Archii to harass or deceive, or use automated access outside published interfaces in a way that harms the service or other users.
7. relationship and device actions
Relationship features depend on the permissions and consent shown in the product. Device actions such as drafting a message or creating a calendar item remain your responsibility; review them before execution. Archii does not guarantee that another person will receive, accept, or respond to a communication.
8. availability and changes
We work to keep Archii available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for safety, security, legal, research-governance, or product reasons. When practical, we will provide notice of material changes affecting stored records.
9. termination and deletion
You may stop using Archii and initiate account deletion in the app. We may suspend access for misuse, security risk, or legal necessity. Retention and deletion are governed by the privacy policy and any separate research agreement you signed.
10. disclaimers and liability
To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Archii disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms and will identify the effective date. Material changes will receive appropriate notice. These terms are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the state where Archii is established, without overriding mandatory consumer protections where you live.
